Hayden's Second Birthday
Hayden turned two on the 1st. It is hard to believe that he is two years old already...my mind has a really hard time grasping that fact - as they say, "It seems like only yesterday...."! Now I am really sounding old!!
To celebrate his birthday, Shane and I both took the day off of work and we took the boys down to Redding to go to Turtle Bay. This is what we did last year too - so, who knows, maybe we have a new tradition! Hayden got to see porcupines, turtles, birds, butterflies and fish, he got to play in the gravel and sand, and he got to run around the adventure playground. Elliot slept through some of the day; but, when he was awake, he was very quiet and just enjoyed watching the world go by.
After Turtle Bay, we went out for lunch before coming home. The boys and I fell asleep in the car on the way home and then all three boys took a proper nap when we got home. It was a lovely day...one I enjoyed with all my boys! Below are some of the pictures from the day.
Hayden and I watching the animal show:
Daddy and Hayden learning the effects of damming up the water:
Hayden and Daddy playing with the loaders, diggers and dump trucks in the gravel (probably the highlight of Hayden's day!!):
Hayden watching the butterflies eat oranges in the Butterfly Pavillion:
Hayden at the giant fish aquarium:
Hayden found a inset area where he could sit and feel as though he was actually in the aquarium:
Elliot hanging out and enjoying his first big adventure:
