A Visit From Two Baby Geese

Aunty Vanessa bought over two baby geese who had accidentally been swept down stream from their nest and, thankfully, rescued by her husband, Billy. Knowing that I want to take Hayden to a petting zoo to be introduced to the animals he has seen in books, Vanessa thought (correctly so!) that Hayden would love seeing these particular babies. It was past Hayden's bedtime; but, we decided to let him stay up for a little while in order to see the birds...hence why he is in his PJs in these pictures!
They were amazingly tame! When out of the box, they stayed close to us and ate the grass. They were so cute and soft! They were a big hit with all of us...not just Hayden!
While down in Redding yesterday, mum, dad and I took the babies to the local Wildlife Rescue center where they will be loved and nurtured until they are able to be released back into the wild. Good luck little goslings!
